Engineering firms, municipal planners, construction companies and a variety of related disciplines all benefit from the ability to capture large-scale infrastructure projects in a single high-resolution aerial panorama image.
Typically these assignments are flown in a fixed-wing aircraft at 2,000 feet AGL using a gyro-stabilized Nikon camera and telephoto lens to photograph a series of close-up, overlapping images that are then stitched together to create one large panorama of the subject area. These high-resolution panos allow the client to inspect their entire project from the air in one photograph and to be able to zoom into the smallest details on the ground for closer inspection. The use of a fixed-wing aircraft rather then a helicopter makes this technique affordable thus allowing clients to book multiple assignments over the duration of their project.
