The Russ Heinl Group is now flying and shooting with the new broadcast quality Sony High Definition Video Camera. This camera is a true revolution in form and function offering 1080i high definition images recorded on a 3-chip camera in a wide screen, native 16:9 format. The images produced are ultra sharp with rich vivid colors and stunning detail. To ensure smooth flight the camera is mounted to a custom-made gyro stabilized, triple axis gimbal system. The Russ Heinl Group's partnership with Jim Wilthsire, of It's A Wonderful Life Productions, resulted in an aerial film production company, "Associated Aerial Adventures" or simply; A3. A3 has produced a series of broadcast quality programs under the banner of "Russ Heinl's... A Landmark Aerial Adventure". These programs are aired regularly on TV and are distributed throughout North America, Europe and Australia.
